Volunteer Positions

Development/Fundraising/Sustainability

Develop, coordinate, and execute a comprehensive strategy of financial development and support:

  • Develop/implement  strategies for cultivating, securing, and sustaining sponsors and donors

  • Help prepare foundation and government grant requests and reports

  • Identify and pursue new sources of contributed income—individuals, corporations, foundations/grants

  • Actively participates in development activities/events geared towards general donors

Marketing

In coordination with Co-Artistic Directors’ programming and vision, develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to market the chorus, its affiliated groups, and their programs throughout their market area:

  • Oversee development and implementation of a marketing plan, including press releases, advertising, calendar listings, brochures/postcards,, and social media/newspaper/radio advertising

  • Implement and monitor the progress of each concert’s marketing plan

Graphic Design

In coordination with Co-Artistic Directors and Marketing, design and develop materials for programs, brochures, posters, etc.

Chorus Management

Manage and oversee chorus members in nonmusical matters 

  • Scheduling of auditions? 

  • Manage personnel info? (contracts, W9’s, headshots, bios)

  • Manage Chorus communication during projects (email/texts)

  • Distribution of choral performance material

  • Care for performers’ non-musical/non-performing needs during project (parking, food, receipts, medical care, transportation, travel, etc).

  • Manage Chorus rehearsal, performance and special event logistics 

  • Liaison between chorus and Artistic Director

  • Monitor chorus morale and "esprit" 

Concert Production

Oversee logistics in regards to concert productions:

  • Supervise front of house activities/volunteers for concerts, including tickets, merchandise, house manager, ushers etc.

  • Implement efficient box office procedures and customer service; 

  • Gather and maintain key data for analysis: ticket sales, audience surveys.
